Carin M. Porras - Bio
Ms. Porras graduated with honors from the University of Miami Law School in 1994 and she is a member of the Bar in Florida, New York and New Jersey. She is fluent in Spanish and French. Ms. Porras is a member of the Broward County Bar Association where she served on the Family Law Section as Chair (2004-2005) and Co-Chair (2005-2006). She is the current Treasurer of the Family Law Section of the Florida Bar and a current member of the Legislative Committee. She was a co-chair of the annual Marital & Family Law Review course for the past two years and is the current chair. Ms. Porras is also a past Co-Chair of the Attorney’s Fees & Ethics Committee (2004-2005); past editor of the Family Law Section’s quarterly newsletter, the “Commentator”; (2005-2007); past Co-Chair of the Publications Committee, (2005-2007), and past chair of the Continuing Legal Education Committee (CLE) (2007-2009). Ms. Porras was also co-chair of the Family Law Section’s Matrimonial Trial Advocacy Workshop in 2007 and 2009.
