Membership Notice

The By-laws committee shall recommend the following revisions to the By-Laws previously approved by the Executive Council at the next regularly scheduled meeting of the Executive Council meeting on January 26, 2013 at the Loew’s Royal Pacific Resort at Universal Orlando, Orlando, Florida:

  1. Article II has been revised to change “Active” to “Regular” member.
  2. Article V, Section 2  has been revised to provide for previous language that referenced that actions of the executive committee would be subject to later ratification by the executive council.
  3. Article V, Section 3 has been revised to provide for the use of trustees for voting purposes , clarification of how a quorum will be calculated and for binding actions pursuant to an e-mail vote.
  4. Article VI has been revised to provide mentoring as a yearly service requirement.
  5. Article VIII has been revised so that use of a public relations firm or individual is contemplated under the bylaws.  Further a new section 6 relating to budgeting for lobbyists and other professionals was added merely to reflect the Florida Bar requirements
